I posted about Mason at the APL blog. He’s another of the dogs that will be helped by proceeds from my Etsy sales. He’s an adorable Redbone who is very shy *and* hw+. Doesn’t stand a chance of getting out of the shelter w/o rescue and/or sponsorship. More about Mason.

Hi, I just wanted to say I adopted Mason, we now call him “Red”, about a week ago. He was so shy, and he would run in the corner and lay down and not want anything to do with us. Now, he gets so excited when I come home and likes to just sit by us and watch TV with us. His check up went good at the vet, and he know enjoys running around on our farm, making friends with our other 2 dogs, and sleeping soundly and eating like a piggy! When I saw him at the Ashtabula Mall, and saw those eyes, I had to have him. Thank you for all your help in all you do and raising money to treat his heartworm. Thanks again

Stacie, I just saw this comment. Thanks so much for letting me know how well Mason is doing, and for giving him a great home! He was always one of my favorites at the shelter…I’m a sucker for the shy ones. Thanks so much for the update!

    About

After years of soul-crushing corporate employment I moved to the country to start an animal rescue with my husband. Now I spend my days cleaning up poop, trying to find homes for animals in need, and making things, which I sell to support my rescue efforts. When I'm not in the doldrums of a depression I realize that I am very lucky indeed :)
