Ashtabula OH — Poor old Mama, long-shot Rottie, has two weeks to live

Mama is going to be a tough girl to place, I’m not fooling myself on that one.  But she is *so* incredibly loving that I’m going to try anyways…

Mama is a senior Rotti mix who is absolutely gorgeous.   She is one of the most affectionate dogs I’ve ever met, and will fall all over you looking for pets.   Unfortunately she is heartworm positive and also has mammary tumors.   The shelter can treat the heartworm if she has a rescue to go to.  In addition to these physical challenges she can be picky about the dogs she likes.  She’s not overtly aggressive but can have problems when kenneled with certain dogs.   Others she adores…she’s in with a young male right now who she’s madly in love with…she’s going to be very sad when he goes to rescue this weekend.   And then, to make matters worse, she was SAFER tested this week and failed the food test.   So, things aren’t looking too good for poor Mama.  I was given two weeks on Monday (11.24) to find rescue for her, or else she will be euthanized.
